Mary Elizabeth King
Born in Springfield, Missiouri on January 19, 1899. King studied at the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, DC, Academie Julian in Paris, Chelsea Art School in London, and with Savini in Florence. By the late 1930s she was a resident of San Francisco. In 1947 she married James J. Loftus. She died in Washington, DC on January 15, 1991. Primarily a miniature painter, she also was a competent landscape painter. |

-Measures 8.5 x 11 Sight; 18.5 x 16 framed approx
- First painting in very good condition, could be cleaned, gold frame is in rough shape has a lot of loss
-Second Painiting (Lake and Stream) has 3/4 " tear in it . It can easily be repaired the piece is all there. Frame is original same rough shape
-These are very lovely, soothing paintings
